{March 25, 2012} Digitour allows for fans to see your favorite Youtube Artist / Band stars on tour !

What is DigiTour you may ask?

Digitour is a tour that they put all the YouTube talent music, band, artist stars that make over 2 billion views and put them all on a tour and they are currently traveling around the US. This tour is also sponsor by Neur Sonic drinks , they were giving free drinks out to fans before and after the shows . If you have not tried Neur Sonic drinks You must to, its so good.

First let me just say this WOW! What can I say about the Digit Tour 2012 … full of fun and surprises and one of my favorite YouTube stars that I was not expected to see none other than Michael Buckley from the show “ What the Buck?”

Michael done a wonderful job hosting the show and making the audiences feel they were part of the show by asking different interesting questions for example

“ Who here makes YouTube videos?” and put a few lucky fans in the spot light for a few minutes to tell the crow their YouTube channel name , neatness to say I was among the one whom was chosen to be put on a spot light for a few minutes, I felt so honor and he made my night more special than ever.

Some of the YouTube stars who performs at the Digi Tour including Destorm, Dave Days, Wellington, Alex Goot, Asher Monroe, Nick Peter, Key of Awesome, and Boo Boo Stewart and his sister Trent

(She goes by Fivel) band called 5L and that was their first ever concert in NYC (for those who does not know who Boo is he is one of the character on Twilight).

All artist and bands were excellent and puts on a great show, they have sung different song parodies, as such example of Wellington band they have sung Katy Perry parodies song “ California Girls”, thought out the night Michael Buckley was making jokes with the artist and the audiences as well as giving prize away and from the group Gregory Brothers they have the song the hit song from Antoine Dodson song called “ Bed Intruder song, hide your kids, hide your wife song.”

Not only that some of the artist throws out glow sticks to the audience and believed or not one artist threw out a STACK of Money to the audience, which was totally unexpected. It was pretty funny I have to admit, and of course can’t forget the favorite band of all night that most of the fans were waiting at none other than 5L (Boo Boo and his sister band they had sung couple of their own songs and their recent new song they came out called Rainy Day also including one of the Britney Spear’s top hit song “ Toxic”.

All over all the artist and bands were very talented in their own unique ways and level, and just to show how well they all gets alone, each of the band or artist joined by one another at some point of their own act during the night, some of the guitarists would play at 2 to 3 different band shows and they would switch off drummers throughout the night from different band and artist members thought out the night.

After the show, they had a free meet and greet all the YouTube Stars down stair at the lounge, and it was quite awesome I have to say, needless to say I’ve meet all of them and had my poster signed by all them, each artist themselves were very practical and wanted to meet all their fans and when fans to asked take pictures outside they were very delightful to take pictures with their fans.

It was fun fill music galore night for music fans to enjoy defiantly. What better way enjoys your favorite YouTube stars on YouTube and none other than see them live in concert in person only on Digi Tour!

{March 20, 2012} Will The Hunger Games surpass its rival Harry Potter and Twilight opening at the box office this weekend ?

Move over Harry Potter and Twilight fans, there is hype up new high catch fever series in town called“ Hunger Game.” Sources already having a prediction this movie is going to gross over 140 million dollars in their first two days opening weekend at the box office.

The book and the movies are based all around the major event happened an unknown apocalyptic event and in which the nation knows as Panem. Each own town is consider a District, and there is District 12, and from each district they must select one boy and one girl from each of the district and it’s among the age of 12 to 18 which was being selected by annual lottery and which ever name were drawn they must be in the Hunger game have to fight for their capital and as well as to see who can be the last one standing at the end of the game. I am not going into detail about the movies as well as the book itself, I just let you all read and watch the movie yourself and decide for yourself on which is better book or the movie.

Just today I’ve personally witness the madness crazy fans were lining up at Barns and Nobel at Union Square in (Manhattan, NYC) today meeting with the cast for the Hunger Games! Some of the fans even camp out for the event this is how big it is. For the most part fans were behaving and most were just hanging out with family, friends. Soon as the cars pull up with the cast mate of Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson showed up outside for book signing which were just getting started it was totally craziness all you can heard was screaming and mobs of fans running screaming as quoted from fans running to the cast “ omg omg I love you Jennifer and Josh.” Eager fans could not wait another minute to get their book signed.

My friends and I were the fortunate among around 300 lucky the fans who received wristband but the catch was you were not guarantee to meet the main cast of the Hunger Games (Jennifer and Josh) unless they have mobs of friends staying in line for them through the day

Sources reveled among the 300 fans that relieved to have the wristband and for which only around 180 to about 200 fans have met Jennifer and Josh. Which my friends and I were lucky enough to be part of those 200 fans to have met the main cast. I was a bit upset when they told us we were not allowed to take picture with Jennifer and Josh at the signing, not sure why is to that but all over all Jennifer and Josh were very delightful to have met their fans as well and were very down to earth as well as greeted fans with smile at the book signing.

The surprise of the day was when Jack Quaid aka Marvel who is Denis Quad and Meg Ryan‘s son walked by 14th at street at about 1:30 in the afternoon. Jack goes to NYU and had no idea the Barnes & Nobel cast signing on 14th street was going on and was asking people what the event was for. So people in line ran up to him to take photos and have him sign Hunger Game related things. He did but then he told people had to go being he had a final to catch at NYU. That was purely a treat for the fans at the same time it was refreshing to see how humble being whom his parents are .

{March 2, 2012} What are companies really telling you when you applied for a job ?

Job Hunting is not easy this bring up an important topic of why I am writing this blog as a topic as well as to get myself a job by putting myself out there.

I am looking for a social media, music production, music tour management, any entertainment job related field , studio producer, personal assistance event host, or hosting live on the red carpet reporting jobs which I’ve have experiences in, the location I’ve looking in at is southern California Preferable in LA area any one knows who is hiring let me know. LA! Any one have any leads please let me know thanks!

I am working as a freelancer in New York City and not getting paid at all, I am ready to move on to a new city and looking for new life. Please email me at susiehiffm@gmail.com I will send you my résumé.

Our economy is not the greatest in the world and knowing most of the companies saying their hiring and putting up signs at the storefront, “Help Wanted” but after all the just trying to see how many people actually going in and applying for the job position.

After, investigation of few stores near me putting up the “Help wanted” as I proceeded to ask for which positions are being open at the store one of the manager have just told me quoted “ we currently are NOT hiring right now!” then I proceeded to ask then why do you still have the sign still up on the windowsill saying “Help wanted” as he was surprised that I’ve ask that question then he gave the unrealistic answer of as quoted “ Just incase one of our employee decided to leave the company we would have to put up the sign “Help Wanted” , so we just decided to not taken down.

Another problem I am running into is responding to job post position online that after you applied for a job and that they never get back to you whether or not they will let you know if the position is till being open, after a few weeks later I still saw the same posting of the job being open and it was NEVER filled, or I’ve received an email by Human resources saying the job position has been filled and keep on looking on our website to see the current relevant position being open and may interest you.

As I once again going into investigations of the position if it’s indeed was filled or not filled at all, I’ve called the companies have spoken to a Human Resource department, the person has told me the position has NOT been filled and they are currently are NOT looking for new applications applicants. I proceeded to wait out for about 2-3 weeks later and go to other job sites to look for a new position being open from other companies, on my finding I saw the same position being opened yet again on the same company. My questions are if they are not hiring why are they even putting up job posting for that position.

This is my purpose of writing this blog is to letting others aware of the reality of companies and their hiring schemes to get hopeful applicants thinning we have a chance at getting a job at the companies that we have applied for , they are just letting us down.
